Dear sr. i will be in Praga this weekend and April 20 im going to Budapest, then april 21 im goint to Vienna, then im retur to Praga it is possible to get one ticket like this? where can i check the time schudele? thank you jorge benitez

Pavel Hajek - info(at)czech-transport.com - 2009-04-14

I think you will have to buy the tickets separately for each route (because the trains between Budapest and Prague do not go through Vienna).

Here is the schedule of trains from Vienna to Prague and for the trains from BUdapest to Vienna try searching in this timetable.

I urgently need ticket for train amicus from prague to budapest – can i buy it directly or do ineed former reservation. If so, how? pls advise

If you are travelling now (low season) you can buy the ticket directly in the train station, it is not necessary to make the reservation in advance.

Dear Sir, I will take a train from Prague to Budapest on 22/6 morning. Do I need to buy tickets in advance? Please advise. Thanks, George

Thomas Teglassy - tegtom(at)hotmail.com - 2009-06-13

  1. Arriving Praha by air, do I need to reserve transfer in advance?
  2. For train to Budapest July 27, can I/do I need to reserve in advance?
  3. What is CHILDREN's fare?
  4. Is there a SENIOR discount?

Thank you.

Pavel Hajek - info(at)czech-transport.com - 2009-06-13

George:
It is always difficult to predict but I think buying the tickets at the station is ok.

Pavel Hajek - info(at)czech-transport.com - 2009-06-13

Thomas:
1. It depends how you want to travel from the airport, you can always catch a taxi or go by bus.
2. It is up to you but usually the trains are not so full that you would have to be obliged to book the tickets in advance.
3. There is 50% discount for children. Here is more info on child discounts in European trains
4. No, unless you have a Senior Pass.

My husband and I would like to take the overnight train from Prague to Budapest on July 18, 2009. I am in a wheelchair. Does this train have a wheelchair accessible compartment and how do I book it. Thanks in advance.

Pavel Hajek - info(at)czech-transport.com - 2009-06-29

Virginia: AFAIK the night trains are not accessible for wheelchairs but try calling this number, it is a helpline of Czech railways: +420 840 112 113, maybe they can help you (they speak english).

Have two young friends wanting to travel from Prague to Budapest by overnight train on 21 August 2009.It looks as though the R 471 Amicus/477.2 departing 21.40 would suit. Your site quotes cost of 55 euros per person travelling 2nd class. They want to have a 2 person coupe and this is quoted as 21 euros extra. It is not clear, first of all, whether you have to purchase a first class ticket in order to obtain a 2 person coupe for the night, secondly, if so, what is the cost of a single one way first class ticket, as this is not mentioned and does each person have to pay another 21 euros for the 2 person coupe or is it just 21 euros total. Also is it advisable to reserve their two seats, and can this be done safely at the railway station on the day of departure, or is it best to do it beforehand. If you advise that this should be done beforehand can it be done through a website written in English and if so what would that website be? Please can you assist with this information. Thank you.

Dear Sr. I would take a train from Prague to Budapest on october 8, the overnight one, train Nº 477. Should I buy tickets in advanced? I'll be so grateful if you advise me about this.

Ivana Novotna - info(at)czech-transport.com - 2009-08-12

Hello Rolando, you can buy ticket at the Main railway train station in advance or the same day you travel, do not worry tickets are never sold out.

Rolando Pavese - rpavese(at)artear.com - 2009-08-12

Hi Ivana. Thank you so much. Your piece of advice is useful for me. Best Regards.
